Setting up Apple Pay is easy.

Using Apple Pay is simple, and it works with the devices you use every day. Your card information is secure because it isn’t stored on your device or shared when you pay. Paying in stores, apps and online has never been easier, safer or more private.

iPhone

Pay easily and securely with Apple Pay.

Getting started

Open the Wallet app.
Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.
Enter your card’s security code to add your credit or debit card affiliated with your iTunes account.
Or, select “Add a different card,” and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.*

How to make a purchase

If using an iPhone 8 or earlier with Touch ID, rest your finger or thumb on the home button and hold the top of your iPhone within a few centimetres of the contactless reader.

You will see Done and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved. If vibration and sounds are enabled, you will feel a subtle vibration and hear a beep.

To pay with an iPhone X, double-click the side button, then glance at iPhone X to authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode. Hold the top of iPhone X within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.

Apple Watch

Enjoy the convenience of making secure payments on-the-go.

Getting started

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Go to the My Watch tab. If you have multiple watches, choose one.
Tap Wallet & Apple Pay and select Add Credit or Debit Card.
Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Northern Savings Member Debit Card

How to make a purchase

With an Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch within a few centimetres of the contactless reader. Wait until you feel a gentle tap. You will see Done and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved.

Where to use Apple Pay

Apple Pay using your Northern Savings Member Card (debit card) works wherever Interac^® Flash is accepted. Just look for the Interac^® Flash logo or contactless symbol at the checkout. Some stores will also display the Apple Pay logo.

*Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and later in stores, apps and websites in Safari; with Apple Watch in stores and apps (requires iPhone 6 or later); with iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation), iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3 and later in apps and websites in Safari; and with Mac (2012 or later) in Safari with an Apple Pay–enabled iPhone or Apple Watch.
