I am asking for your vote to the Board of Northern Savings. I have taken the extensive training needed to acquire the Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director designation, and hope to continue to develop these skills. I will always be a champion for Northern Savings in our communities. I am a strong volunteer in our community: 18 years as a firefighter, continuing as a math tutor, mentor in water treatment, and coach. As a longtime union member, I am a strong worker advocate, and a believer and supporter of the Co-operative system.

My experience, personally and professionally, informed my opinion of NSCU as a community-based, individually focused lender and investor aware of the diverse populations living here, striving to meet the needs of us all. In my former position as Chief Librarian I worked with Board members directly for over a decade and understood the value that good Directors or Trustees add to their organization. A strong local Board brings the needs of the community forward and aids management to best meet these needs. I will encourage financial literacy and search out opportunities for local investments while upholding NSCU's standard of duty.
